About Bernadette Wulf and FairySource

I frequently get messages from my faery (sidhe/elven) allies asking me to share “the faery way” with others.

It’s not just a suggestion, it’s more like a subtle form of badgering — frequent and persistent reminders in the form of repeated thoughts popping into my mind.

That’s how this website came about.

Once I follow through with the assigned task, the faeries seem to be temporarily satisfied.

Then eventually, they will ask me to create another workshop, course, image, blog post, or webpage.

That’s the story of my life, or at least a big part of my life.

They don’t usually tell me why they want what they ask for. I just have to trust that they have good reasons — plus it’s always fun and fulfilling for me.

Why do faeries want to connect with us?

I just read the following quote from the sidhe in an email post from Rue Hass of the Lorian organization. It’s the best explanation I’ve seen about why the faeries reach out to us:

You have a saying about standing and walking in another’s shoes. This creates affinity.

We are joyous. We are attuned to peace. We are attuned to life. We have a delight for nature and for all living, growing things. We foster and nurture potentials.

We are attuned to wholeness and to the connections from which it springs. We are attuned to music, dance, and creativity. We draw upon the stars as well as the earth.

This is not the whole description of who we are, but it is a start. These are the qualities—the shoes—most available to you, the easiest for you to slip into.

When you think of us in a deliberate way and take on the qualities which we value, you start to walk in our shoes. There is affinity. There is resonance. You can feel how we invite you into our lives, and as you respond, you will discover more about the shoes, more about who we are.

“This is what we wish to awaken in you.”

Likewise, by engaging with you, we come to understand your shoes so we can put them on as well.

This is one of the gifts you offer us by inviting us into your lives. It’s a gift that enhances and expands, for as we come to know you, we can form a deeper affinity and resonance.

We can blend our presence with yours to enhance your own thinking and awareness, giving you greater access to the wisdom you already possess.

A sense of connection and wholeness is natural and instinctive to us. This is what we wish to awaken in you.

We want you to remember who and what you are, the family to which you belong. We want to enhance as well your love for the world you inhabit and your will to care for her.

I just love reading that quote.

I could read it every day. It explains our connection with the faeries so clearly.

In Short, We Need Each Other

The more we connect with the faery realm and learn to emulate the magical life of joy, peace and delight that is their reality, the more we can bring it into our own daily experience. And as we live this uplifted experience, we bring the templates of the New Earth into our human world.

More About Bernadette Wulf

I came here from the faery realm as an emissary to the human world. I’m not the only one. I’ve run across a few other humans who have similar origins.

We came here to remind humans of the important connection between our races — a connection that goes back many thousands of years on planet Earth.

I’ve also traced my human ancestry back to faery bloodlines on my mother’s side (not that my mother ever had the slightest idea she was related to faeries). I’m guessing that some faery blood is necessary for us to incarnate in a human body.

It took me a long time to remember why I felt such a longing for the beauty, peace and harmony I had left behind in the faery realm — and why life in the human world always felt so strange, alien and harsh by comparison.

I have to thank Tom Cowan for his Celtic shamanism workshops that opened my mind to realities beyond my wildest dreams. He is retired now, but his legacy lives on in his students and his books.

There is nothing more important than remembering who we are!
